1 Lake Chilwa 15th, 3 Cape Maclear 18th-19th, 2-4 Lengwe 20th-21st, up to 4 Dzalanyama 22nd-23rd, 4 between Dzalanyama and Lilongwe 24th and up to 8 Liwonde 25th-27th.

An inter-African migrant which I missed last trip. At Dzalanyama 5 at the dambo 23rd and 6 at the village near the Lodge 24th.

4-6 Lengwe 20th-21st and up to 10 Liwonde 25th-27th. Please excuse the overload of photos - they're one of my favourites!

Southern Carmine Bee-eater Merops nubicoides [30]
A partial inter-African migrant which I failed to see last trip and I'd been given the impression it wasn't the best time of year for this trip either. It was therefore a nice surprise to find a flock along the approach road to Lengwe (in the sugar cane plantation) on 20th and 21st involving perhaps 30 birds.
