At Liwonde 8 on 23rd & 18 on 25th. The Red-billed Hornbill complex has recently been split into 5 species - the Malawi race degens is part of Southern rufirostris.

1 heard Dzalanyama 1st (and possibly others heard elsewhere but I wasn't confident identifying them on call myself - this was identified by Ben Mwapeyah).
Green-backed Honeybird (Green-backed Honeyguide, Slender-billed Honeyguide) Prodotiscus zambesiae [1]
1 Satemwa Guest House (Thyolo) 29th. A rather scarce species (and one for which there don't seem to be many/any photos published on the internet) but the fine bill appears to rule out the otherwise similar and more expected Lesser Honeyguide.
