Fairly common along the coastlines. The largest counts were 20 Ding Darling 16th and 21 Dry Tortugas (Garden Key) 21st.

4 Ding Darling 16th, 60+ Fort Myers Beach (lagoon south of Holiday Inn) 17th, 3 Dog Beach 17th and 6+ Bahia Honda State Park 23rd.

Killdeer Charadrius vociferus (11)
Not as common as I had expected: 4 Tamiami Trail (S-333) 14th, 2 Babcock-Webb 15th, 1 just outside the Everglades 18th, 1 Markham Park 25th, 1 Green Cay 25th and 2 Kendall 27th.

Black-necked Stilt Himantopus mexicanus (150)
Recorded at about 10 well-spread sites, the best counts being 45 Tamiami Trail (S-334) 14th, 26 Everglades (Eco Pond) 18th, 25 Everglades (Snake Bight) 24th and 20 Green Cay 25th. Birds were nesting at Wakodahatchee.
