Systematic list - part 3: Cormorants and Pelicans
Neotropic Cormorant Phalacrocorax brasilianus (1 + 4 hybrids)
1 Wakodahatchee 27th. In addtion a total of 4 birds appear to be hybrids between Neotropic Cormorant and Double-crested Cormorant. Neotropic Cormorant is a very rare vagrant to Florida but at least 1 individual has become resident at Wakodahatchee and produced a number of hybrid young over the last couple of years or so.
Double-crested Cormorant Phalacrocorax auritus (300)
Largest numbers were at the coast especially at the longer bridges across the keys.
Anhinga Anhinga anhinga (160)
Largest numbers were in the Everglades (e.g. c. 40 Anhinga Trail 18th) and Wakodahatchee (c. 50 27th) but small numbers at several other locations.
American White Pelican Pelecanus erythrorhynchos (83)
3 Ding Darling 16th, 9 Everglades (1 West Lake, 8 Flamingo) 18th and 80+ Everglades 24th (distantly visible from Snake Bight Trail, some also from the Amphitheater).

Brown Pelican Pelecanus occidentalis (200)
1 Tamiami Trail (S-334) 18th was the only one seen away (though not far away) from the coast. Largest numbers were in southwest where at least 44 Chokolosee / Everglades City 14th and 42 Fort Myers Beach 17th; also very common all along the Keys.
