Great Crested Flycatcher Myiarchus crinitus (29)
Very common with small numbers seen at many locations - I'm sure if I was more familiar with the calls the number recorded would have easily doubled. Although there were a few individuals with distinctly duller yellow underparts than the majority I couldn't turn any of them into other Myiarchus species!

Eastern Kingbird Tyrannus tyrannus (5)
3 Everglades (1 Anhinga Trail, 1 road to Mahogany Hammock, 1 Pouratis Pond) 18th, 1 Big Pine Key 19th, 1 Fort Zachary 23rd, 2 Everglades (1 Pouratis Pond, 1 Mahogany Hammock - both possibly birds seen on 18th).

Gray Kingbird Tyrannus dominicensis (12)
Outside of the Keys only seen in the Everglades where 2 Flamingo car park 18th. In the Keys at least 10 birds seen across 8 sites, all in the lower keys. These included 1 Dry Tortugas (Garden Key) 22nd.

Loggerhead Shrike Lanius ludovicianus (17)
5 Babcock-Webb 15th, 6 Babcock Webb 16th (mostly different birds), 2 just outside the Everglades 18th (1 again 24th), 1 Snake Road 25th, 3-4 Markham Park 25th and 1 John Dickinson State Park 26th.

White-eyed Vireo Vireo griseus (22)
The commonest vireo, and indeed one of the commonest small passerines. Often difficult to see and until the song was learned much time was spent trying to locate the unidentified songster - the total number recorded would undoubtedly have been much higher had I been familiar with the vocalisations. Migrants included 1 Dry Tortugas (Garden Key) 20th & 21st.

Black-whiskered Vireo Vireo altiloquus (3)
2 heard singing Key Largo 19th remained impossible to see while I was being tortured by biting insects; 1 Dry Torguas (Garden Key) 20th & 21st was eventually more cooperative.
