Tree Swallow Tachycineta bicolor
Int – At least 40 Bobolink Meadows 19th. The true figure may have been much higher as it was difficult to be sure if I was seeing the same flock several times or if they were different birds moving through. There was a strong possibility that the flock(s) may have contained some Violet-green Swallows but none of these were seen well enough to be certain.

Gray Catbird Dumetella carolinensis
Int – 1 Creston Valley 18th. One of the highlights of the trip as I hadn't been expecting to see one (although it is within range so I'm not sure why not!). Although seen and identified before it began to call, the cat-like meow that gives it its name was very distinctive.
