An extremely rare vagrant in Europe from North America. This species has reached 3-4 countries in Europe including Norway and Italy but so far there are no records from the United Kingdom. The western race inornatus has been mooted as a potential split from the nominate eastern form, and has reached Europe. All the birds shown below, including those from Florida, appear to belong to the western form.
