Spotted Crake Porzana porzana
This species is a rare breeding bird in the UK and a scarce migrant. Most records from Norfolk are autumn migrants, though it does breed occasionally. However the species is becoming increasingly scarce with records barely annual recently.
Marazion Marsh in Cornwall is one of the best sites in the country for migrant Spotted Crakes and this is where the first set of photos below were obtained.
