Red-breasted Goose Branta ruficollis
A rare vagrant in the UK and also a freqent escape. Presumed wild birds often arrive with Dark-bellied Brent Geese, although others have associated with Barnacle Geese or Pink-footed Geese (and some of the older records were among White-fronted Geese). Norfolk has its fair share of records and the following pair were accompanying Dark-bellied Brent Geese. They actually arrived on their own at Covenham Reservoir in Lincolnshire, which doesn't bode well for their origins, but this fact seems to have been quietly forgotten after they quickly joined up with the Brent Geese. They spent most of the winter in Lincolnshire but moved to Norfolk in March.
