Masked Booby Sula dactylatra
An extremely rare vagrant to Europe. Perhaps the best known record was a bird that spent a night on the P&O ferry in the Bay of Biscay in September 2003, seen by a number of birders who were on the ferry looking for seabirds and cetaceans. There was one previous record from Spain but the species has not yet been recorded in the UK.
The following photos were taken at the only breeding colony in North America, Hospital Key in Florida's Dry Tortugas.
