Great Knot Calidris tenuirostris
This the largest of the Calidrids is a very long-distance migrant moving between its breeding grounds in NE Siberia to its wintering grounds in SE Asia and Australia. Given the distances travelled it's not surprising it occasionally appears as a vagrant in western Europe, but records here are very few and far between. The blurry dot shown in the photos below was the first Norfolk record.
