An unusual combination: this party of four birds was present at Swanton Morley from late August to late September 2007. There appear to be relatively few documented records of this hybrid.
The pale flight feathers on two of these birds probably indicates that the Mallard parent was of domestic stock.
Two birds reappeared the following February, presumably two of the same four although by this time one of them had a completely dark head:
