Black-winged Kite (Black-shouldered Kite) Elanus caeruleus
A beautiful species that in Europe is restricted to Iberia and the neighbouring regions of France. Despite one or two reports there are no accepted records in the UK yet, but vagrancy appears to be increasing elsewhere in northern Europe and it seems likely that we will not have to wait very much longer before there's a confirmed sighting this side of the English Channel.
The first photos below are from the small European population but the remainder are from Africa where this species is much more widespread.
